Garden Towers Officially Opens Its Doors

After years of planning, collaboration and construction, Garden Towers has reached a major milestone, with the landmark East Perth development now complete, titles issued and settlements underway.

Valued at approximately $296.9 million, Garden Towers is Finbar’s largest development by number of lots in the company’s 30-year history, comprising 342 lots across two striking towers overlooking Queens Gardens.

To date, more than 82% of the development has been sold, representing approximately $210 million in sales.

Over the weekend, we were proud to celebrate the official Grand Opening of Garden Towers with purchasers, project partners, stakeholders and special guests, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for this vibrant residential community.

Guests enjoyed an atmosphere filled with great food, free-flowing drinks, live music and entertainment while exploring the extensive resident amenities for the very first time. From the wellness and recreation spaces to the spectacular rooftop facilities, there was a genuine sense of excitement throughout the building as owners got to see their new home.

The formal proceedings included speeches from Ronald Chan, CEO of Finbar, and Bruce Reynolds, Lord Mayor of Perth, who both acknowledged the significance of the development for East Perth and the broader Perth apartment market.

Reflecting on what the project represents, Ronald Chan said:

Tonight we're not simply celebrating the completion of a development, we're celebrating the creation of a new community. Another great milestone in the history of Finbar, Hanssen and Chang Architects, and another chapter in the story of East Perth.

The Lord Mayor also acknowledged the confidence purchasers have placed in both the project and the Finbar brand, noting:

There's a lot of repeat buyers amongst the group of buyers, which tells you a lot about the product.

A special ribbon-cutting ceremony followed, led by Managing Director of Chang Architects Sin Chan, Finbar Chairman John Chan, Lord Mayor of Perth Bruce Reynolds, Founder of Hanssen Gerry Hanssen, and Finbar CEO Ronald Chan.

Guests then gathered for the unveiling of a commemorative plaque presented by the Lord Mayor, officially declaring Garden Towers open.

After the formalities, we opened up the 36th floor and let our buyers see their rooftop for the very first time. The excitement was palpable as guests took in the panoramic views of the City, Swan River, Optus Stadium and Queens Gardens, and we loved seeing so many people in awe, taking photos of the view from their new home and making excited FaceTime calls to friends and family.

The celebrations continued into the evening with a few extra surprises, including a dessert table and dedicated gin and wine tasting stations, giving guests even more reason to stay and enjoy the occasion.

During the evening, we also welcomed the Hon John Carey MLA, Minister for Planning and Lands; Housing and Works; and Health Infrastructure, to Garden Towers. Accompanied by Ronald Chan and Scott Cameron, General Manager and Company Secretary, Minister Carey toured the development and experienced firsthand the lifestyle and amenities available to residents.

Reflecting on the project, Minister Carey described Garden Towers as:
